Contemporary Fresco Paintings / Modern Times Frescoes
The A Fresco painting technique is THE device I used here. A thin coat of mortar, made of lime and marble sand is laid on a light wooden panel and painted with pigments only stirred into water. So the painted surface is a mineral one then. Like a stone. Like a chalky rock, inside which a kind of magic process would have organized the coloured material into an image. The inspired look of the viewer will go on doing the job then, giving sense to this image and bringing it to life !
